AI Summary
Connecting your TikTok Shop to KixMon takes about a minute. First, create a KixMon account, choose your shop region and approve KixMon in TikTok Seller Center. Next, connect TikTok Ads Manager so KixMon can add your GMV Max and Shop Ads spend to your store and product profit. Your first data import usually takes around 15 minutes, or up to 45 minutes for large shops. Finally, add your cost of goods and shipping cost on the Product page so your profit includes every cost.

Reading this article, you can learn how to create your account, authorize TikTok Shop and TikTok Ads Manager, what happens during the first import, why a connection can fail, and what to do next.
Before you start
You need:
- Admin access to your shop in TikTok Shop Seller Center, signed in on the same browser you use for KixMon
- Permission to install apps on that shop (shop owner or an admin role)
- An email address to sign up. If you used KixMon with this shop before, use the same email. You can use a new email only if you removed the KixMon app in Seller Center first.
Step 1: Create your KixMon account
Go to the KixMon sign-up page and choose how to register:
- Sign up with Google
- Sign up with Microsoft
- Email address
We recommend Google or Microsoft. Signing up by email sends a one-time code, and every future login sends another one. Social sign-in skips that step and is quicker day to day.
Step 2: Choose your shop region
After signing up you land on the Connect your TikTok Shop screen. Pick the option that matches your shop:
| Option | Who it’s for |
|---|---|
| US Merchant | Selling on TikTok Shop US |
| Non-US Merchant | UK, Southeast Asia and other supported regions |
TikTok opens in a new window of the same browser to handle the authorization, then returns you to KixMon. Make sure you are signed in to TikTok Shop Seller Center in that browser.
Step 3: Install the app in TikTok Seller Center
TikTok shows its own Install window for the KixMon app, Kixmon: TikTok Shop Profit Tracker & Analytics.
- Check the Authorized shop field shows the correct shop.
- Leave Duration of partner access as Unlimited unless you have a reason to limit it. This duration also applies to the Seller Center access you grant.
- Enter your contact email address. This field is required and must be a valid address.
- Enter a contact telephone number if you wish — this one is optional.
- Click Confirm to install.
If you have connected KixMon before and the authorization has lapsed, TikTok shows a Renew window instead of Install. It works the same way, with an extra Renew options dropdown where you can re-authorize only or extend access by 30, 90, 180 days or a custom duration.
Step 4: Authorize the permissions
TikTok then shows the Authorize step with a list of what the app can access for your shop. Scroll the box to read the full list.
KixMon uses this access to read your orders, fees, settlements and product data so it can calculate profit. KixMon does not change your shop, your products or your prices.
- Read the conditions.
- Tick the acknowledgement checkbox at the bottom.
- Click Authorize.
You can revoke this access at any time in TikTok Shop Seller Center › Apps & services › App store › My apps and incidents.
When it succeeds, TikTok shows an Authorized confirmation and returns you to KixMon.
Step 5: Authorize your TikTok Ads Manager
Back in KixMon you are asked to Authorize Ads Account.
Do this now if you run TikTok ads. It allows KixMon to pull GMV Max and Shop Ads spend and attribute it at both store and product level, so your store profit and each product’s profit include your ad costs.
Click Authorize TikTok Ads Manager and approve access. If it does not complete, see TikTok Ads Manager connection failed.
If you skip it for now, KixMon still works and shows this banner on your Dashboard:
Advertising API access — The access to the advertising data is not set up. Ads expenses are being displayed with a delay and without assignment to individual products.
Until you connect it, your ad spend shows as $0.00 in KixMon, so your profit does not include ad costs yet. Click Connect Ads in the banner at any time to finish the setup.
Step 6: Wait for your first import
KixMon now pulls your recent orders, fees, settlements and ad data from TikTok. The first import usually takes around 15 minutes. If your shop has a large number of orders, it can take up to 45 minutes. You can leave the page; it continues in the background.
On first connection, KixMon imports your most recent 2 months so your figures are complete and accurate from day one. If you need more history, contact support and we can import additional months within your plan’s limit.
When it finishes, your Dashboard fills in and you can open Tiles, P&L and, on the Max and Agency plans, Creator Profitability.
Step 7: Add your cost of goods and shipping cost
Complete this step for accurate profit. KixMon reads every fee TikTok charges you, but your product costs come from you. Until you enter them, products show $0.00 COGS and profit does not yet include product cost.
Go to the Product page and enter, for each product and variant:
- COGS — what the unit costs you
- Shipping cost — what it costs you to ship
Shipping cost matters most if you ship the orders yourself. We also recommend entering it for Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT) products. Until TikTok shares its estimated shipping fee for an order, KixMon uses the shipping cost from your Product page, then updates to TikTok’s figures as they arrive — the same behaviour described on the Dashboard Tiles page.
Troubleshooting
Connection Failed
If you see Connection Failed — We couldn’t connect your shop to KixMon, the authorization expired or was cancelled. Click Try Again.
The most common reason is that the shop is already connected to KixMon under a different email address. To keep accounts secure, KixMon links each shop to one account email. To fix it, sign in to KixMon with the original email. If your team needs access, the account admin can add them on the Users page, so each person signs in with their own email.
Other reasons:
- The authorization window was closed before it finished
- The TikTok account used does not have permission to install apps on that shop
- The contact email entered in the TikTok Install window was not a valid address
- The shop is a cross-border seller account, as defined by TikTok (for example, a business registered in mainland China or Hong Kong selling into another market). KixMon currently supports local seller accounts in all 15 supported markets.

TikTok Ads Manager connection failed
If the Authorize TikTok Ads Manager step does not complete, open an incognito or private browser window, sign in to both KixMon and TikTok in that same window, and try again. This clears saved TikTok logins or browser extensions that can interrupt the authorization.
Ad spend is lower than expected
First, check your ad credits. TikTok may give you ad credits, and KixMon takes these off your ad spend, so your real cost is lower. If your ad spend is $0.00 or still looks too low, a different ads account may be connected. This is rare, because KixMon automatically finds the ad account linked to your shop, but it can happen if you have more than one TikTok ads account.
- Open Ads in the left menu and click Settings.
- In Ads Settings, check the Advertiser ID. If you have more than one ads account, select the one that runs your TikTok Shop ads. The Advertiser ID must match the one shown in TikTok Ads Manager.
- Click Save.
The Account owner can also change the Advertiser ID from the profile icon › Shop Settings. See Ads for more.
KixMon checks for new ads data automatically and fills in any missing days as soon as TikTok shares them. If you want your numbers right away, you can sync yourself:
- Open Ads in the left menu and click Sync with TikTok.
- Choose a Start Date and End Date.
- Click Sync. KixMon gets the latest ads data for those dates.
Configure ad report types
KixMon syncs two types of ad report. Most sellers keep the default setting, with both ticked.
- BASIC — Basic ads reports: standard campaigns run in TikTok Ads Manager, such as video view or traffic ads. Keep this ticked if you run these ads for your shop and want them counted as ad cost.
- TT_SHOP — TikTok Shop ads reports: GMV Max and other TikTok Shop ads.
To change it, click your profile picture at the top right, choose Shop Settings, then click Configure under Ad Types. Tick the report types to include and click Save. Unticked types are hidden from your ads data and statistics, but KixMon still syncs and stores them, so you can turn them back on at any time.
GMV does not match TikTok
TikTok uses different timezones for its Seller Center dashboard and its analytics, so the same day can show different numbers. By default, KixMon follows the timezone of TikTok’s analytics page. To change it, open Setting › Timezone and pick your preferred timezone. See Settings for more.
My trial has ended
When your trial ends, a banner appears on the Dashboard and the longer date ranges are locked. Your connection stays in place — upgrade and everything is available again.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my GMV not match TikTok?
TikTok uses different timezones for its Seller Center dashboard and its analytics. By default, KixMon follows the timezone of TikTok’s analytics page. You can change it in Setting › Timezone.
How long does it take to connect a TikTok Shop to KixMon?
The authorization itself takes about 30 seconds. The first data import then usually takes around 15 minutes, or up to 45 minutes for shops with a large number of orders, before your Dashboard is populated.
Can KixMon change my products or prices?
No. KixMon reads your shop data to calculate profit. It does not edit your shop, your listings or your pricing.
How do I revoke KixMon’s access?
In TikTok Shop Seller Center, go to Apps & services › App store › My apps and incidents and remove the authorization.
Why do I need to authorize TikTok Ads Manager separately?
TikTok Shop and TikTok Ads Manager are separate systems with separate permissions. The Ads authorization lets KixMon attribute GMV Max and Shop Ads spend at both store and product level.
Should I use Google sign-in or email?
Google or Microsoft sign-in is easier. Email sign-up sends a one-time code on signup and on every future login.
Why is my ad spend lower than expected?
There are two common reasons:
- Ad credits. TikTok may give you ad credits. KixMon takes these off your ad spend, so your real cost is lower.
- More than one ads account. If your ad spend shows as $0.00 or looks too low, KixMon may be connected to a different ads account. Open Ads › Settings, select the account whose Advertiser ID runs your TikTok Shop ads, and click Save.

Why does my profit look high right after connecting?
Cost of goods has not been entered yet. Once you add COGS on the Product page, KixMon includes product cost and your profit becomes complete.
